The Assure24 agents perform the vital monitoring activity on customer servers.
Like the secure portal, these agents can be branded as your own.
The install program can use your image and brand and the software can be installed on your chosen directory on your customer’s server.
There are three types of agent:
Server agent: this resides on a server and monitors its activities and failures
‘Agentless’ agent: this agent resides on a network attached server and monitors and alerts on devices on the network. These devices do not have an agent on them (hence the term ‘agentless’) but profiled monitoring is carried out on these devices via SNMP, FTP, pinging, etc
Asset detection agent: this resides on a network attached server and detects hardware and software components of all devices found on the network, whether these be PCs, routers, printers, other servers, and so on. This is not an alerting or monitoring agent.
